Outcomes of 2009 call for UKCRC CTU Registration Applications
Following the 2009 call for UKCRC CTU Registration, the following units were successful:
Full UKCRC CTU Registration

 A total of 5 Clinical Trials Units were awarded Full Registration:

  • London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) Clinical Trials Unit (University of London)
  • Mental Health & Neuroscience Clinical Trials Unit (Kings College London)
  • Oxford University Clinical Trials Service Unit & Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) (University of Oxford)
  • Primary Care Clinical Research and Trials Unit (PC-CRTU) (University of Birmingham)*
  • York Trials Unit (University of York)*

 *Denotes units which gained Provisional Registration in 2007 and have progressed to Full Registration

Provisional UKCRC CTU Registration

 A total of 7 Clinical Trials Units were awarded Provisional Registration: 

  • Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (Imperial College London) (incorporating the International Centre for Circulatory Health Trials Unit which gained Registration in 2007)
  • Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre (ICNARC) Clinical Trials Unit
  • Kings Musculoskeletal Clinical Trials Unit (Kings College London)
  • Leicester Clinical Trials Unit (University of Leicester)
  • Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit (University of Oxford)
  • Tayside Clinical Trials Unit (University of Dundee and NHS Tayside)
  • West Wales Organisation for Rigorous Trials in Health and Social Care (WWORTH) (Swansea University)
